We Attend Highpointe Church (Lakeside) in Oklahoma City

I (Robert Smith) grew up in Alabama, where I went to a church with vibrant worship and convincing preaching. Since I lived with my parents near the church, I was expected to attend whenever the doors were open. I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior at the age of twelve, and I am so glad I did.

Linda grew up in Oklahoma. She went to a church that was a lot like mine. We met at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. After we graduated, we were married. We have one son. We have lived in Missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma - where we now live.

I began looking for a church in 1994. I found a church with great music and a program for youth. Our son was able to join a large group of teens who worshiped God with all of their hearts. He was able to be a part of other meaningful activities. Linda and I began attending Lakeside Assembly of God - which has been renamed Highpointe Church in Oklahoma City, and it helps us to grow more in the likeness of Jesus Christ.
